Summer School on 3D Printing Technologies - with a focus on photochemical and electrohydrodynamic techniques

At the mid of July (16.7.18-20-07.18) the Summer School of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy was held at the Röntgenring within the beautiful Külpe lecture hall. The topic of this year summer school was 3D Printing Technologies with a special focus on Melt Electrowriting techniques. The summer school event was held by the chair of functional materials in dentistry and medicine and was scientifically organized by Professor Paul Dalton. We had the opportunity to have 15 international speakers and 6 local speakers giving exciting talks. The in total 41 participating students and 25 external students from all over the world had the opportunity to show their own scientific work within a poster presentation. The participants showed various backgrounds starting at the master level and end up at the post-doctoral level. The talks of the speakers gave insights into the basics of 3D printing technologies and span up a range from 3D Bioprinting to Melt Electrowriting to Metal Printing and on Friday also to an industrial perspective.
