Summer School on Catalysis and Organometallic Synthesis 2017

From 24th - 28th of July 2017 the international Summer School "Catalysis and Organometallic Synthesis" took place at the Faculty for Chemistry and Pharmacy. Altogether 45 external and internal participants from 10 different countries attended the Summer School at the university of Würzburg.

Six external and eight internal speaker reported in lectures and workshops on current fields of research with regard to Catalysis and Organometallic Synthesis. Thus, a comprehensive overview could be given to the students, which is not possible the course of the regular studies.

The students also presented their own scientific results in short presentations and a poster session and could discuss the results with the experts. A diversified social programme, e.g. a wine tasting in the historical wine cellars beneath the baroque building of the Residence Palace and a guided city tour, provided time for discussions and to network.

Special thanks are directed to the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF, 01PL16019), the Fonds der Chemischen Industrie e.V. and ChemChatChem.
