Tasks

  • Assisting the Dean of Studies in carrying out his duties
  • Central point of contact for organisational matters within the Faculty (room and timetable management, examination administration, course catalogue, etc.)
  • Coordination of changes, the establishment and discontinuation of degree programmes within the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy
  • Liaison with central departments such as Unit A.3, the International Office, SBR or Department 2 (Student Services Office, Examinations Office, etc.)
  • Point of contact for student enquiries that cannot be answered by the subject-specific academic advisers within the departments
  • Member of all subject committees (Studienfachkommissionen) within the Faculty (Biochemistry, Chemistry, Functional Materials, Food Chemistry, Pharmacy)
  • Representative of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the round-table discussions on degree programme development

  • Assisting the Head of the Chemistry Programme in carrying out their duties
  • Co-ordinating organisational tasks within the Chemistry programme
  • Point of contact for organisational enquiries from students on the Bachelor’s, Master’s and Teacher Training programmes in Chemistry
  • Maintaining the module descriptions for the Chemistry programme in the central module database
  • Public relations work relating to studies and teaching; assisting with the design of websites, leaflets, etc.
  • Supporting the BSc, MSc and Teacher Training in Chemistry examination boards (including organising centralised examinations, recording results, etc.

Positions and appointments:

  • International and ERASMUS Coordinator for the Chemistry degree programme (BSc/MSc/Teacher Training)
  • Contact person for Master’s applications in Chemistry
  • Representative of academic support staff on the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy
  • Representative of academic support staff on the Extended University Management (EUL) at JMU
