The interdisciplinary degree program Functional Materials at Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg, teaches fundamentals of materials science, physics, and chemistry. The program provides practical training and prepares you for a career in research, development, or industry.
In close co-operation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research ISCour research team develops innovative materials for future applications. The continuous exchange between the Institute and the Chair creates synergies and promotes future solutions all across basic research and application-oriented development.
We recently welcomed Prof. Dr. Nick Virgilio from École Polytechnique Montréal as a visiting professor at the Chair of Chemical Technology of Materials Synthesis at Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg.
