Social Commitment Award for Cornelia Walther
12/12/2025Cornelia Walther was our faculty's first winner of the new Prize for Social Engagement from the Alumni Community.
To support the goal of developing a strong community around the University of Würzburg, the Chairman of the Alumni Community Association has launched a "Social Commitment Award". The prize money of 200 euros per faculty is intended to honour people in the faculties who make a special effort to promote cooperation within the faculty community. These can be, for example, student councils, students, doctoral students, secretaries, professors or other members of staff.
This year's award from our faculty went to Cornelia Walther from the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry. Mrs. Walther is well-known as the one to go to for all things in both the Inorganic Chemistry and Didactics degree programmes. She always has a sympathetic ear and perhaps something sweet for everyone who finds their way into her office. Thank you for everything you do, Mrs. Walther, and congratulations on your well-deserved recognition!
