2019 EurJIC-Wöhler Young Investigator Prize to Dr. Lichtenberg

25.06.2019

Congratulations to Dr. Crispin Lichtenberg, Junior Research Group Leader at the Institute for Inorganic Chemistry, who has recently received the 2019 EurJIC–Wöhler Young Investigator Prize. Dr. Lichtenberg's research focuses on the development of innovative molecular bismuth compounds that can be used in the synthesis of organometallic as well as oligo- and polymeric compounds containing heavy p-block elements and in organometallic and polymerization catalysis.

The prize-winning article, “Double CH Activation of a Masked Cationic Bismuth Amide” can be found here: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/anie.201712725, and his group's follow-up work in Chemical Science can be found here: https://pubs.rsc.org/en/Content/ArticleLanding/2019/SC/C9SC00278B
