moreWelcome back Kersten!
We are very happy that a half year ago he finished his Master's thesis in our lab, we can welcome back Kersten as a PhD student. In between he worked as an Intern Science and Innovation at International Sustainable Chemistry Collaborative Centre (ISC3)
On 16th November he started his PhD studies taking up his topic of the Master Thesis on the application of DNP-enhanced NMR for the investigation of polymeric micelles.
Very happy to welcome you back in our working group!

moreWelcome back Justyna!
We are very happy that roughly one year after handing in her master’s thesis as part of her Erasmus stay in our lab, we can welcome back Justyna as a PhD student. In between, she very successfully defended her thesis at her home university, applied for a BAYHOST scholarship and worked at a company. She started her PhD funded by a BAYHOST scholarship on 01.10.2023 and will work on multicompartment micelles. We are happy that you chose to come back to our lab and we wish you lots of success for your project.

moreSebastian attended the FGMR 2023 at the University of Konstanz and gave a talk with the topic “Life is Short, Make it Sweet: Structure-Property-Relationships of Sugar Surfactant-Boron-Complexes and Their Formulations“ in the session covering “Advanced NMR Applications”.
moreIn September, Theresa and Ann-Christin also attended two different conferences. Theresa presented a poster at the 18th biennial Bayreuth Polymer Symposium taking place from 17.-19.09.2023. She also highlighted her research in a 3 min flash presentation prior to the actual poster session. The meeting covered diverse topics from the area of polymer science with very renowned national and international guest speakers. At the same time, 17.-20.09.2023, Ann-Christin attended the SMASH small molecule NMR meeting in Baveno (Italy) and had the pleasure to act as lead speaker of the solid-state NMR session. After the exciting MRC Young researcher symposium, a diverse and interesting programme convinced both the regular SMASH attendees as well as the new additions to the community.
