Kersten at EFEPR
10/07/2025Recently, Kersten has attended a Summer School on EPR at the University of Manchester.
In September 2025, Kersten participated in the Summer School of the European Federation of EPR Groups (EFEPR) at the University of Manchester. The event brought together young researchers from across Europe to explore the world of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR).
Beyond the classic English weather, cozy pubs, and memorable British food, the summer school offered a great opportunity to meet many enthusiastic young scientists.
It was great to learn about the principles of magnetic resonance from the electron’s viewpoint as well as all the techniques where both electron and nuclear spins come into play. One highlight was the possibility to get hands-on experience with pulsed EPR experiments at Manchester University’s large EPR facility, which connected especially well with our NMR background.
