On Thursday afternoon we did a lama hike in Retztal near Würzburg. After a short introduction about Lamas with interesting facts about the cute-looking animals, everybody took his/her lama and we walked through fields and the forest. As only the lama had their food (fresh green grass and leaves) they found on their way, we also got very hungry and decided to go to a restaurant – with delicious pizza! Thanks to Retztal Lamas for a lovely afternoon and beatiful day!
On the picture you can see Theresa with Samson, Ann-Christin with Wilma, Justyna with Otti, Steffi with Fifty-fifty, Steffi with Emma and Anna-Lena with Lucky.

Organic Structural Chemistry in the Spotlight
On Friday, 1st October, during the annual discussion meeting of the division Magnetic Resonance (FGMR) of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) Ann-Christin Pöppler was awarded with the Felix-Bloch Lectureship 2021 for her work on organic structural chemistry in the context of drug delivery. As awardee and therefore an ambassador for magnetic resonance, Ann-Christin is especially happy to get the possibility of doing four presentations across Germany and share her enthusiasm and research about NMR spectroscopy. During her award lecture she talked about “Taking up the chase with NMR spectroscopy – From structural insights into solid drug-polymer formulation to their fate in biorelevant media”.
moreWith two posters we started to join the 42nd FGMR Annual Discussion Meeting! One week filled with topics about NMR in solution and solid-state NMR spectroscopy used for different research areas, with poster sessions, scientific talks and online meeting and discussion possibilities. And we are looking forward to the Felix Bloch Lecture 2021 on Friday given by Ann-Christin!
