Dr. Monika Gupta, Ramanujan Fellow (Independent junior group leader, corresponding to Habilitand) in the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar has been awarded the WISER (Women Involvement in Science and Engineering Research) grant to work in collaboration with Prof. Frank Würthner at the Center for Nanosystems Chemistry (CNC), University of Würzburg. A total of ten women researchers from India and two from Germany holding regular/long-term research positions were selected under the WISER-2023 programme. WISER aims to foster scientific capacity, encourage the participation of women researchers and provide them with opportunities for growth and promotion.

We look forward to collaborate with Monika during the next three years on her research on liquid-crystalline solar thermal fuel materials.
