Elsevier Lectureship Award for Frank Würthner

Frank Würthner is the first European scientist to receive the Elsevier Lectureship Award of the Japanese Photochemistry Association.

At this years' annual meeting of the Japanese Photochemistry Association (JPA) from September 6-8, 2016 at Komaba Campus of the University of Tokyo, Prof. Frank Würthner was invited to give the  Elsevier Award Lecture on "Photophysical Properties of Perylene Dye Aggregates". The Elsevier Lecture Award, sponsored by Elsevier and JPA, is given to foreign scientists since 2014. After two recipients from the United States in the previous years, Frank Würthner is the first awardee from Europe. With more than one thousand members, the Japanese Photochemistry Association is among the largest scientific societies devoted to photochemistry.
