Jiarong Wu

PhD Student
Würzburg
Deutschland

Jiarong received her bachelor's degree in 2021 from Wuhan University, majoring in chemistry. During her undergraduate, she completed two internships in Prof. Aiwen Lei’s group, which focused on electrochemical C-H/N-H oxidative cross-coupling. Her final year project was the research of noble metal nanomaterials based on boron cluster photocatalysis under the supervision of Dr. Haibo Zhang. Jiarong finished her Master of Research degree in Nanomaterials at Imperial College London in 2022. As part of her MRes degree, Jiarong completed her research project with Dr. Becky Greenaway's group, which focused on the experimental realisation of computationally predicted porous organic cages. Jiarong joined the group in October 2022 as a PhD student.

Outside the lab, Jiarong enjoys playing violin, dancing, and everything about musicals.

Leo Greb

Würzburg
Deutschland

Leo joined the Greenfield Group for a six-week internship as part of his teaching studies. He has been enrolled at the University of Würzburg since 2018 and, apart from chemistry, he also studies Italian and English. Therefore, Leo has found the perfect internship where he can enhance both his language and his scientific skills.

In his free time, Leo enjoys playing the guitar (and sometimes the banjo), spending time outside and cooking. Leo has assumed the role of Lab DJ and is known within the group as a connoisseur of international soft drinks.

Lasse Kreimendahl

Internship

David Reinhart

David joined the Greenfield Group for an eight-week internship of the masters programme. He started studying chemistry at the University of Würzburg in 2019 and finished his undergraduate studies in 2023 with the bachelor thesis in the group of Prof. Dr. Braunschweig. Afterwards he started the masters programme with the focus on organic and inorganic chemistry and homogeneous catalysis.

Apart from chemistry, David is interested in astronomy, enjoys indoor climbing and likes to avoid all spicy food where possible.
