Exciting new results on the iClick reaction of Pd and Pt azido complexes in our latest Inorg. Chem. paper

In our latest paper, we report on the iClick reaction of square-planar palladium(II) and platinum(II) azido complexes [M(N3)(L)] with L = N-phenyl-2-[1-(2-pyridinyl)ethylidene]hydrazine carbothioamide with different electron-poor alkynes. For the first time, the N1-coordinated triazolate could be isolated in pure form and the N1 → N2 isomerization studied by NMR spectroscopy. Selected title compounds were found to be active on the GaMG human glioblastoma brain cancer cell line and gave EC50 values in the low micromolar range.
