Open Positions

We are always interested in highly motivated and committed employees. We currently offer numerous exciting topics for Master's and Bachelor's theses. Please get in touch with the contact persons below to find out more about currently available topics. You can find an overview of the various research areas on our research page.

Sustainable and Advanced Materials

Small molecules, polymers, hybrid materials and automation

Contact person: Dr Guntram Schwarz

Supramolecular Chemistry

Metallosupramolecular polymers (MEPE)

MEPEs are formed by the self-organisation of metal ions, ligands and counterions. By selecting the components, the properties of the resulting polymers can be adapted for potential applications. In addition to the ligand synthesis, the tasks of the Master's thesis include the project-related analysis of the resulting MEPEs, particularly with regard to the above-mentioned properties.

We are happy to support the combination of the thesis with a topic-related research stay at one of our co-operation partners in Canada (University of Montréal) or New Zealand (University of Otago).

Contact person: Prof. Dr Dirk Kurth

Materials Science and Physics

Battery materials, aluminium materials or simulation calculations

Are you interested in working in an interdisciplinary team?
Do you want to get to the bottom of things and really understand them?
Are you open to new things that you are not yet familiar with from your studies?
Do you want to know what applications materials have in industry?
