Hermann Neitz was selected to give a talk on light-induced crosslinking of DNA, Evengiia Dorinova presented a poster on RNA-alkylating ribozymes, Claudia Höbartner gave a talk about structures, mechanisms and applications of MTR1 and SAMURI, and Martin Volek presented results from his PhD on the Aurora deoxyribozyme.

Innovation in Chemical Sciences - this was the motto of the symposium, which was attended by ten scientists and ten PhD's and Master's students from five Bavarian universities at the University of Zagreb from November 19 to 21, 2024. Among the participants was our PhD student Evgeniia Dorinova.

Dr. Carolin Scheitl, a researcher at the University of Würzburg, was awarded the Bavarian Culture Prize in the science category for her doctoral thesis on RNA chemistry.
