International networking in Montreal
09/12/2025Claudia Höbartner and Julia Dietzsch attended the “Methods and Applications in Fluorescence” (MAF 2025) conference, which took place in Montreal from August 24 to 27. Claudia was an invited speaker and Julia was selected to give a talk in a session on fluorescent nucleic acids chaired by Yitzhak Tor.
Scientific exchange and international networking
The MAF conference is considered one of the leading international events in the field of fluorescence, from spectroscopy and imaging to materials science and life sciences. The participation of our research group underscores the international visibility and relevance of our work in this highly topical field of research. The conference offered ideal opportunities for exchange with leading scientists from all over the world. Such events are essential for establishing new collaborations and further developing innovative research approaches.
Montreal as a conference venue
Montreal proved to be an inspiring venue. Nestled between an impressive skyline and green parks, this cosmopolitan city provided the perfect setting for scientific exchange. Mont Royal offers spectacular views over the metropolis to the St. Lawrence River—a backdrop that certainly contributed to inspiring discussions outside the conference rooms.
The successful participation in MAF 2025 encourages our working group to actively continue cutting-edge research on fluorescent nucleic acids.
