THE HÖBARTNER GROUP: ORGANIC AND BIOMOLECULAR CHEMISTRY

Spot on: Poster award for Konstantin Isenberg at the 6FB3 conference

03/18/2026

Konstantin and Julia from the Höbartner Group presented their most recent research results at the International Conference on Fluorescent Biomolecules and their Building Blocks (6FB3), which took place in Turin from 8 to 11 March, 2026.

The lucky winners: Konstantin Isenberg (Höbartner Group) and Eden Pauline Roshan Booth present their poster prize

With his poster “Luminescent uridine analogues for enzymatic DNA synthesis”, Konstantin Isenberg impressed the jury and won one of the two poster prizes on offer. Many other exciting contributions and presentations captivated the community. This included Julia’s presentation on “Synthesis and characterisation of RNA containing emissive isomorphic nucleotides”. The conference resulted in stimulating discussions and scientific exchange at an international level.

FB3 (https://www.fb3-2026.com/) is an international conference series that has been held every two years since 2012, bringing together established scientists, early-career researchers, students and postdoctoral researchers. Here, the latest developments and applications of fluorescent molecules in chemical biology, bioimaging and biomedical applications are discussed.

Here, doors are literally being opened, as is the case with group activities such as a visit to the Palazzo Reale di Torino.
