Poster prize at RNA Meeting 2019
06/17/2019Mohammad (Farbod) Ghaem Maghami was awarded a poster prize at the RNA Society Meeting 2019 in Krakow, Poland for his poster on "Ribozyme-catalyzed site-spedific labeling of RNA"
The 24th annual meeting of the RNA Society was held in Krakow, Poland from June 11 to June 16, 2019. More than 1100 passionate RNA scientists explored the unique opportunities in terms of science and professional networking. The program included inspiring keynote talks by two Nobel laureates, Phil Sharp (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Nobel Prize in Physiology/Medicine in 1993, for discovery of split genes) and Tom Cech (University of Colorado, Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1989, for discovery of ribozymes), as well as an impressive line-up of speakers, all selected from more than 860 submitted abstracts.
Every year the RNA Society acknowledges poster presenters for “Excellence in RNA Research”. For his poster "Ribozyme-catalyzed site-spedific labeling of RNA" Farbod was selected as one of 10 poster prize winners. Congratulations for this award!
