03/31/2025Arpan Banerjee, one of our PhD students received the Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) PhD Fellowship.
The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) PhD Fellowship is a prestigious funding program that supports outstanding early-career researchers pursuing a PhD in basic biomedical research across the globe. It offers a monthly stipend for 2 - 3.5 years, along with generous support for research-related expenses, international conferences, and excellent networking opportunities within the BIF network. The fellowship is designed for European and non-European students pursuing a PhD in Europe, as well as Europeans conducting their PhD abroad, on an ambitious project in basic biomedical research at an internationally leading laboratory. The program is known for its highly competitive selection process, with < 10% of applicants worldwide ultimately receiving the fellowship.
