From Oktober 2014 Mrs. Agnieszka Nowak-Król, (29 years old) from Poland (Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw) is going to join and enrich the Würthner Group, making her the “twelfth” Humboldt visiting scientist, who is continuing her career here, being promoted by the Humboldt-Foundation. In 2003 she started her studies at the Rzeszow University of Technology (Poland). With Ph.D. Advisor Prof. Daniel Gryko she successfully completed her studies in 2013 at the probably most famous organic-chemistry institute of Poland, belonging to the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, with a dissertation about “Synthesis of liquid porphyrins and corroles with high two-photon absorption cross-section”. Here in Wuerzburg she will especially dedicate herself to the organization of dyes in complex architectures.

We congratulate our new group member to the successful application of this rather competitive stipend, only allowing the world’s most promising young scientists an extended stay in Germany, and warmly welcome her and her family in Wuerzburg!
