Euromar2026
16.07.2026Running away from the heatwave, we visited the beautiful city of Göteborg in Sweden and attended the EUROMAR2026 conference.
At the end of June, Ann-Christin, Kersten and Justyna have attended the EUROMAR2026 conference in Göteborg, Sweden. The venue was located in Eriksberghallen, once home to Eriksberg's mechanical workshop in Eriksberg, a former shipyard.
Kersten and Ann-Christin also joined the PANACEA 4th Annual Users Meeting beforehand. The PANACEA project is a collaboration between different academic and industrial organizations, tha aims to provide access to innovative instrumentation and experiments in solid-state NMR. The dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) experiments in our group were made possible thanks to this collaboration, and Kersten had the opportunity to present the results of his work in a presentation titled "Compartment-selective DNP for the analysis of drug-loaded polymer micelles".
After that, it was time for the main event: EUROMAR. Justyna and Kersten took over the poster sessions with "Exploring photo-CIDNP in polymeric micelles for signal enhancement of cargo molecules" and "DNP-enhanced solid-state NMR for the compartment-selective analysis of polymer micelles". Meanwhile, Ann-Christin presented our team's work on hyperpolarization in her talk titled "Comparison of different signal enhancement approaches for the solid-state NMR analysis of polymeric micelles".
On the social side, the venue was full. Hundreds of scientists were present at the conference, including some of the most renowned names in the community. Everyone had the chance to different events, including the Bruker night, a group running session and of course, the conference dinner held in Kooperativet, a colorful hall with a street-food vibe.
We did a lot, saw a lot and talked a lot. And we will definitely remember EUROMAR2026 in Göteborg fondly.
