Happy Holidays and all the best for the new year 2022!

The past year was a very exciting year with lots of highlights! Here is a short review:

In March 2021, the first PhD student of our research group finished his thesis and may now be called Dr. Marvin Grüne! Additionally, the first paper of Sebastian Endres as first author was accepted in July.

After several online board game nights as team events it was possible to carry out our annual team-event in July in presence with Escape Room and barbecue afterwards.

This year we re-designed this homepage and made a small video about our research!

The PhD students and Ann-Christin joined two online conferences, where scientific posters were represented!

The new module on the master's level "Complementary tools for the Characterization of Complex Solid Materials" took place in the summer term of 2021. Fifteen highly motivated students took the plunge to join the new concept of research and problem based learning with elements of science communication as they were supposed to attend a two week block course investigating a real scientific problem, design a poster and present their results! This project was financed by the Fulbright-Cottrell Award recieved by Ann-Christin Pöppler in 2020.

Furthermore, Ann-Christin was awarded the Felix-Bloch-Lectureship 2021 during the discussion meeting of the division Magnetic resonance (FGMR)  for her work on organic structural chemistry in the context of drug delivery.

We also would like to thank all interns, bachelor and master students for joining our working group! We wish you all the best for your ongoing studies or career!
