Jan Gerrit Horstmann appointed Emil Fischer Fellow

Jan Gerrit Horstmann has been appointed Emil Fischer Fellow by the Habilitation Committee of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy. The Emil Fischer Fellowship Programme was introduced by the Faculty in 2011 in order to promote its junior researchers in a particularly active way and to provide incentives for top performance right at the start of their careers. To this end, outstanding junior staff who have already demonstrated their ability to develop viable research concepts are granted early independence in research and teaching. By being appointed an "Emil Fischer Fellow", early career researchers gain largely the same rights as a junior professorship.
