THE HÖBARTNER GROUP: ORGANIC AND BIOMOLECULAR CHEMISTRY

    Nucleic Acid Chemistry

The research focus of the Höbartner group is in organic and biomolecular chemistry of functional nucleic acids.

Current projects involve the following topics:

    Nucleic Acid Catalysis

    -       In vitro selection of new ribozymes and deoxyribozymes for RNA ligation, RNA labeling and
            detection of RNA modifications

    -       Structural and mechanistic analysis of DNA enzymes

    Fluorescent nucleic acids

    -       In vitro selection and engineering of fluorogenic RNA and DNA aptamers

    -       Bioorthogonal labeling of natural nucleoside modifications

    More details will follow soon.
