The crystal structure of the SAM-analog utilizing ribozyme SAMURI reveals a fascinating active site architecture and provides new insights into the evolution of catalytic RNAs and riboswitches.

Chen, Okuda et al. structurally characterize the ribozyme SAMURI, which catalyzes the site-specific transfer of a methyl group from S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) to target RNA, thereby providing a foundation for the future development of RNA-labeling tools.
